Is globalisation good or bad?

In a world that is becoming increasingly interconnected and interdependent, we ask: is globalisation a good thing or a bad thing?

There is little agreement over whether a globalised world promotes unity and cooperation, or whether it consolidates a gap of inequality between rich and poor; over whether it brings cultures together, or merely threatens to homogenise the world and destroy cultures in the process.

We will explore the various sides of this debate, to see how globalisation is affecting the world on a local and a global level, and determine whether overall it is a force for good, or a force that is doing more harm than it is worth.
